Dr. Lager completed her undergraduate degree in Psychology at Emory University. After earning a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology at Rutgers University, Dr. Lager moved to Washington, D.C. She has been practicing in the area since 1997.

Dr. Lager is licensed by the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Clinical Psychologist and has authority to practice interjurisdictional telepsychology (APIT) through the PSYPACT Commission. She is a member of both the Virginia Psychological Association and the Northern Virginia Society of Clinical Psychologists. Dr. Lager is committed to providing the highest standard of care, and regularly participates in continuing education programs.
